By using NestMate you agree to these terms. NestMate is a platform connecting students and landlords in Gold Coast, Australia.
NestMate is a marketplace platform. We do not own, manage, or control any properties listed. All rental agreements are between tenants and landlords directly.
Payments are held in escrow and released to landlords only after the tenant confirms check-in. If an issue arises within 24 hours of check-in, the tenant may request a full refund.
Users must provide accurate information, maintain respectful communication, and comply with Australian tenancy laws. Fraudulent listings or bookings will result in immediate account termination.
NestMate charges a 5% platform fee on each booking, deducted from the total amount. This covers escrow protection, identity verification, and platform maintenance.
Tenants may cancel before landlord approval for a full refund. After approval, cancellation policies are agreed between parties. Bond is released within 7 business days after check-out confirmation.
NestMate is not liable for disputes between users, property damage, or losses arising from the use of the platform beyond the escrow amount held.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Queensland.

We collect: name, email, nationality, profile photo, booking history, and messages. Payment data is processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
Your data is used to: operate the platform, verify identity, process payments, send notifications, and improve our services. We never sell your data to third parties.
Data is stored on Supabase servers in AWS Sydney region (ap-southeast-2), complying with Australian data residency requirements.
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and opt out of marketing communications.
